Water Utility Leadership Empowerment Capacity Building Program, on 22 & 23 March, 2017 in Amman, Jordan

ACWUA is offering a training program that aims to empower water utility managers in the region. It aims to build managers’ knowledge in managing water utilities to achieve their strategic objectives, improve performance, enhance customer satisfaction and target financial sustainability.

The program will be consisted of three main modules.

o   Management and service contracts, Micro PSP (outsourcing activities), build-operate-transfer (BOT), and Performance Based Contracts (PBCs)

o   Risk identification, mitigation and allocation

o   Financing modalities – public and private funds

o   Procurement methods

o   Monitoring and regulating private sector operations

o   Utility Business Planning

o   Improved financial performance and cost recovery for utilities

o   Initial Utility Assessment

o   Utility Operations Tools (HR, ERP, Governance, communication, CRM, O&M Systems)

o   Civil Society and Public Engagement Methodology

 

Training fees:

$250 US Dollars - for Arab Water Week participants 

$400 US Dollars - for Non-Arab Water Week participants
