Water Reuse & Environment Director / Water Authority of Jordan, Ministry of Water and Irrigation
Eng. Al-Kouz holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the AL-Balqa Applied University, Jordan.
He is a senior management staff at the Ministry of Water & Irrigation and currently is the Director of Water Reuse & Environment Director at the Water Authority of Jordan. He has a strong background in water & wastewater quality, Industrial wastewater management, wastewater treatment and reuse, policy and planning in Jordan. His current responsibilities include in particular evaluating the possibilities for treated wastewater reuse options in Jordan, evaluating the capability of Jordan Wastewater Treatment Plants and supervising operation and maintenance for wastewater treatment plants in Syrian Refugee Camps in cooperation with UNICEF and member of the national committee for Sludge management. Eng. Al-Kouz is also contributing his technical and engineering background to further shape policy for water reuse in the water- scarce country of Jordan and review current wastewater legislations and environmental standards
Eng. AL-Kouz participate in preparing training material for industrial wastewater management for the benefit of ACWUA and Integration of irrigation concepts into the curricula of the Ministry of Education.
Led feasibility study on the Identification of sustainable sludge treatment options and recover values from sludge at Al-Ekaider waste, sludge, wastewater treatment plant supported by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
