Dr. Adnan Al-Zoubi is the Assistant Secretary General for Media and Awareness since 1999 and the Minister’s Advisor for Media and Awareness at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation. He has a PhD in Media and Communication Sciences and has a broad experience in this field at the water sector.
He received the Excellent Employee Award, and he received a royal honoring for inventing the Humanitarian Responsibility Theory and his Book: Royal Vision for Media.
He is a lecturer on media, communication and water awareness topics, and published many books including: Humanitarian Media, Introduction to Media, and participated in 44 publications about water awareness.
He chaired the editorial board for Al-Arab Al-Youm Newspaper, and he is representing Jordan at the Media and Awareness sector at the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, and the Arab Water Security Center at the League of Arab States.
He is heading the Jordanian Association for water conservation and a member of many national water and environmental committees. He participated in setting the awareness strategy for water sector at the Arab Water Ministries Conference. And he participated in incorporating the water awareness principles in the educational curriculum.
He is the focal point at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation for many projects funded by different donor agencies including GIZ- (Improvement of communal water use efficiency in cooperation with religious authorities in Jordan) project, and participated in preparing the Guidebooks for Water from Islamic Perspective, Water: Christian Perspective, Hygiene from Islamic perspective and other knowledge products.
