With 42 years of professional experience in the water business in Jordan, Mr. Zoubi has been at the forefront of the Jordanian reform program in the water sector. Holds a unique experience as leader and counterpart of numerous undertakings that Jordanians carried out in partnership with donor programs and private sector initiatives. Mr. Zoubi was involved in the leadership of the Jordanian government for the creation of the corporate entities Aqaba Water Company and Jordan Water Company /MIYAHUNA and was the leading executive in each of them for the critical initial two years. Mr. Zoubi participated in at least 20 events and courses nationally and internationally and represented the Jordanian government and the water sector in various occasions.
Mr. Zoubi is an experienced utility manager, along his long career he managed several sections , departments, and companies in the water business , such as : water and wastewater networks maintenance, pumping stations, customer services, metering and billing systems, administrative and financial affairs including capacity building , business planning , public relations with customers, and a different range related to utility management.
After resignation from Miyahuna , Mr. Zoubi has established his own consultancy office specialized in institutional studies, feasibility studies, and general consultancies related to the water sector , within 16 months, he concluded a detailed feasibility study and management contract documents for PSP transaction of the water and waste water services in Ma’an Governorate at the south of Jordan , and in partnership with a German Consultant won an international competitive bid to provide transaction advisory services for the management contract for 4 northern governorates of Jordan , both transactions has been successfully accomplished.
In Nov.2010, through a competitive process, Mr. Zoubi Joined MCA-Jordan as CEO, he supervised the establishment of MCA-Jordan as an LLC government owned and representing the Government of Jordan to implement the MCC Compact of $ 275 million. He remained till the whole program was successfully finished and closed, then managed dissolution as the Legal Liquidator of MCA-Jordan
As of July 2017, Mr. Zoubi started working as Senior Water Advisor to WMI (Water Management Initiative), a project for 5 years with a budget of about $ 30M to enhance efficiency in all aspects of Jordanian water Sector, and providing different consultations through Arab Countries Water Utilities association (ACWUA).
