Mr. Al-Assa’d is a program development/management and water management expert with extensive
experience working the management and governance in the fields of water, sanitation and energy infrastructure. He has
more than 15 years of experience working for donors, private and public sectors. Currently, he is working as a Water
Sector Governance Advisor in the Water Management Initiative project funded by USAID with Tetra Tech and leading
the governance component of this project. He is a Hubert Humphrey Fellow in Urban and Regional Planning from
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
