Doa’a Al Majali is the Head of the Ghweir Agricultural Station located in eastern Karak of Jordan. She has acquired over 17 years of professional experience in cereal and forage planting under semi-arid conditions. She has started her career as a researcher at the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), during which, she has participated in the implementation of many water and soil-related projects in Jordan. These included “Effect of soil amendment with olive mill wastewater on the production of olive trees, quality of olive oil, soil properties, soil humic content and plant growth performance under soil semi-arid conditions. Most recently, Dua’a is cooperating with the GIZ- DISM project in assessing the risks of bio-solids for land application, and studying productivity and quality risks of applying treated sewage sludge to rangelands.
